POWER OF ATTORNEY
As a mobile notary, one of the most common documents I am asked to notarize is a Power of Attorney. This is a document authorizing an Agent to act on behalf of a Principal to make decisions.
Instances where a Power of Attorney may be needed:
-
Cases where a lawyer represents his client
-
In order to receive an inheritance
-
For the purchase or sale of property
-
You need someone to act on your behalf on a temporary basis such as when you might be out of the country or in the hospital
Also, if these documents are in Spanish or French, I can notarize them as I speak both languages! In Colorado, the notary needs to be able to understand the language that the document is written in to be able to notarize it and communicate with the signer without the use of an interpreter.
