Power of Attorney

One of the most common documents I am asked to notarize is a Power of Attorney. This is a document authorizing an Agent to act on behalf of a Principal to make decisions.

 

Instances where a Power of Attorney may be needed:

 

  • Cases where a lawyer represents his client

  • In order to receive an inheritance

  • For the purchase or sale of property

  • You need someone to act on your behalf on a temporary basis such as when you might be out of the country or in the hospital

 

Also, if these documents are in Spanish or French, I can notarize them as I speak both languages !  In Colorado, a Notary Public must be able to read the language that the document is written in.
